Life After Death - Part 3 “Heaven On Earth”

Rev 21:1-4 Then I saw "a new heaven and a new earth," for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,
prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death"
or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things have passed away."

1. Since the beginning of time planet earth has been God's focus.

2. God's first plan to redeem the earth ended, when Adam disobeyed.
Genesis 1:26-30 – Genesis 3: – Genesis 9:1

3. Jesus redeemed the earth from the devil’s domination.
Rom 5:17 The sin of this one man, Adam caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness will reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ
Heb 2:14 Since we are human beings made of flesh "blood, Jesus became flesh" blood. For only as a human being could he die and only by dying could he break the power of the Devil who had the power of death.
Col 2:15 Jesus disarmed the spiritual authorities; He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on t cross
Rev 1:18 I am the Living One; I was dead, and I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.

4. Our present mission, is learning to reign with Christ
Matt 16:18 I will build my church, and the gates of Hell will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom
of heaven.
Matt 28:18 All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations.

5. Jesus’ future reign from planet earth also includes us. Acts 1:11
1 Cor 6:2 Don't you know that someday we Christians are going to govern the world? 3 Don't you realize that we will judge and reward the angels in heaven? So you should be able to decide your problems down here on earth
Rev 5:9 Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, has made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.

Rev. 22:3 There shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. 4 They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. 5 There shall be no night there: They need light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign with him forever and ever.
