Life After Death – 7 “Wrapping Things Up”

1. “God's Master Design” 1 Pet. 2:9 – Eph. 1:20, 3:6 – Col. 1:26

 God’s covenants are in sync with his master design.

 God's secret master design is Jesus’ church.

2. “A Beautiful Bride” Isa. 65:17 Rev. 21:

 Old Testament examples, reveal New Covenant realities.

 Jesus is building a house made of people, not brick and mortar.

 God will redeem this present earth with a new perfect one.

 Our description of heaven is actually the bride of Christ.

3. “Heaven On Earth” Rev. 21:1 – Col. 2:15 – 1 Cor. 6:2 – Rev. 5:9

 Since the beginning of time, planet earth has been God’s focus

 On the cross, Jesus redeemed the earth from the devil’s dominion.

 Our present mission, is learning to reign with Christ.

 At some point God will renovate the earth with fire.

4. “Our Future Body” 2 Cor. 5:1 - Luke 23:43 – 1 Cor. 15:35 – Phil. 3:20

 When we die we are immediately with the Lord.

 Death is like planting a seed of a beautiful flower.

 Jesus resurrected body is the prototype for our future body.

5. “Hell – Suicide – Judgment Day” 1 Cor.1:30 - 2 Cor. 5:10 - Matt. 25:14-2

 Hell is a final separation from the presence of the Lord.

 Condemnation to hell for suicide misunderstands scripture.

 The judgment seat of Christ is an awards ceremony for us.

6. “Raise Your Sights” Col 3:1 - Rom 8:18-23

 We are hardwired to move in the direction of our focus. Control.

 Everything and everybody is waiting eagerly for God’s new earth.

 Culture says yolo - you only live once – the truth is - you only live forever.

 Your perspective of heaven impacts how you live on earth. And how u live on earth

impacts how you will experience heaven.
