Romans 12:21 Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good.
1 Peter 1:23 You have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.
Romans 5:5 The love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.
Our culture is our primary mission field.
We can either make a point or we can make a difference.
Disagreement is unavoidable but division is a choice.
1 Corinthians 1:10 I appeal to you, dear brothers, and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. That there be no divisions in the church.
Disagreement is often fueled by different life experiences.
God loved me, in spite of my misinformed, experienced based, evolving views.
John 13:34 A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another.
In Christ we can disagree politically and still love unconditionally.
Fulfilling the law of Christ is often a matter of proximity.
Galatians 6:2 Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
When carry each other’s burdens, division diminishes and harmony happens.
The disruptive unity of the early church changed the world.
Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Jew – Gentile / Slave – Free / Male – Female
On the cross, Jesus lost on purpose - for a purpose.
Philippians 2:5 In your relationships with one another, have the same attitude Jesus had: 6 Who, being the very nature of God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage.
