Romans12:21 Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good.
1 Corinthians 9:24 Don't you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win!

1. My prayer: I’ve done what you’ve asked me to do, now I leave the outcome up to you.
1 Peter 2:23 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.

2. Paul internalized the truth of his connection with the eternal God.
Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him… 31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not… graciously give us everything else?

3. We often defeat ourselves with feelings of condemnation for our sins.
33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then can condemn? No one. Christ Jesus who died was raised to life… and is also interceding for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 nothing in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

4. There is a standing invitation from your savior
Matthew 11:28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
