FAQ for Guests
Each guest will have a volunteer buddy that has been background checked to accompany them throughout the night for both safety and fun! Before they head into prom, you’ll have a quick chance to chat about any important details you want them to know.  They will also have your emergency contact information on the guest’s lanyard in case they need to reach you for any reason during the event.

After checking in your guest, you also have the option of leaving campus (just make sure you come back by 8:30pm for the finale). If you would like to stay, you are welcome to volunteer as a buddy!

This is a special night so they can be as dressy (prom dress, suit and tie, tuxedo) or as casual as they want. We just want them to be comfortable and enjoy themselves. With such a large guest list, we do not have enough prom dresses or menswear to offer up, but we can suggest checking yard sales, Goodwill, Facebook marketplace, friends and family, etc.).

FAQ for Volunteers

All volunteers need to be on campus and checked in no later than 5pm on Friday February 13th so that you can meet with your team leader, go over last minute instructions, and be ready to welcome our guests.

If you are a volunteer, you are REQUIRED to come to an in-person orientation on January 28th at 6pm. We want you to be fully informed about your role, activities in the buildings, and flow of the night so that you can best serve our honored guests. There is a list of orientation options in the registration for you to select from.

Anyone ages 14 and up can volunteer as long as they pre-register and consent to a mandatory background check. No walk-up volunteers are permitted the night of the dance for safety and security.

This is a special night, so we ask that your attire reflects that . . . it is up to you how dressy you want to get!
  • Ladies: At a minimum, wear dress pants with a blouse (no Tshirts or blue jeans). Skirts or dresses would be completely appropriate for this night but please remember to dress modestly! You will very busy throughout the night with our guests so please keep in mind the length of your skirt and hem of your neckline.
  • Gentlemen: Please wear dress pants or nice black jeans with a polo or button up shirt (no T-shirts or blue jeans).

There is no childcare for this event.

You will need to eat prior to the event which allows us to maximize our catering budget for guests and their families.  We will have water available throughout the evening.
